Yoga Props can make a world of difference to your practice. Certain types of Yoga such as Iyengar Yoga utilise Yoga Props extensively to help bring better alignment and to act as a support.

It is useful to begin to learn how Yoga Props can help in your Yoga practice. Yoga Blocks are rectangular in shape and can be used to sit on in forward bends especially to help lift and lengthen your lower back. You might also want to use a Yoga Block to raise you hips up in a lying down position. Yoga Bricks can be used as a support under your hand in standing postures like Trikonasana, again under your hips or in fact any where where you think you need a bit of help!

Yoga Belts are probably the most useful item - especially for a beginner. You can use them in forward bends around your feet if you can't reach your toes, A yoga belt can also be used to open up shoulders and hips.
